getting real, discovering truth

“Love loves to love love…” — James Joyce from Ulysses

I love and loved you
but now I know
I wanted you to love me,
so I would love me,
but you can’t love yourself
though the eyes of another.
you have to love from the blindness
within,
and as much as I love and loved you
and as that love will always remain—
I now know, the oneness of self-love
the oneness of connected love and
what it means to love and be loved

You don’t have to love yourself
to love another, that is the fallacy
but you do have to love yourself
to receive the love of another…

I love and loved you—

Always will
