tangled

I’m perched at the edge of my mind
full with ripe lessons
of love’s nots
I’m left: tangled string
a cat’s cradle
child’s play
frivolous art
forgot

I’m perched at the edge of my mind
less than what was not
more within
than without
filled with empty
white space of silent
intent
where my very breath was love,

and you choked

Words, love them! Have some? Leave them.
