There’s No White Left in Our Eyes

The Earth is dying

(as are the rest of us)

born to die,

and we celebrate

the mundane

the jaundice days

and yellow tulips

Spring, Summer

and then we fall

There is beauty in death,

but we waste all our living

on these dying days—
