Journey (redo)

The narrative of my flesh
is erupting now,
and I cannot pull
the stars any closer
toward my mouth.
So I swallow whole
the entire night sky
and flee with only
of foreign moons
and tears of crystal
ache; an afterbirth
of a life expelled.
a life with confines
and constraints
that I choke back
there is no other way
this script is coded
in skin, and breasts
and hips, lips of love
have leapt and I’ve
nothing left—
The narrative of my flesh
is erupting now.

The October Poetry Journey continues… #OctPoWriMo  This was originally written for #NaPoWriMo and I am reposting it here for the challenge today.

Today is Day 28 of OctPoWriMo  join me, 31 poems in 31 days. Do you dabble in word play as well? Let’s create 31 in 31!

Love and Ink,

    1. Thanks so much, DeRicki! I’ve been slacking here on my personal writing. Other obligations have taken top priority. Yikes I’d better get back to it. Happy poeming, my friend!

  1. Loving Code

    As i journey
    written word..
    Some would
    find us
    erotically disturbed…

    i fall into
    each and every word
    awakening dream

    To the first kiss
    i ever heard…

    In a loving code…

Words, love them! Have some? Leave them.
