Like Thieves

Liminal Moment by Bobbette Rose

and it’s kept trees
and it’s kept trees
of her heart long lost
of her heart long lost
long kept lost, her trees,
it’s of heart and—

the running wind
the running wind
echo in eves
echo in eves
the eves’ wind
in running echo—

cerulean lovers’ misery
cerulean lovers’ misery
hear the leaves cry
hear the leaves cry
cry lovers,
hear the misery cerulean leaves

eves of her heart cry
long hear the cerulean echo
it’s kept the misery in trees,
leaves wind lost, and lovers running.
