Vellum Costs Too Much

I’ve become drawn and undrawn

from this withdrawn canvas.

A creation and cessation of warring

wounds. Hail storms on tumultuous tides,

I paint. Though–

my oils have dried up, and my

brushes are

all cheap. So I’ve turned to ¢2 ink.

Poetry Month continues, and this is Day 4 of NaPoWriMo for me. Today’s challenge was to write a ‘loveless’ love poem or an unloved poem. Those of you that know me might get a chuckle since this pairs nicely with the typical rainbows and unicorns type of poetry–I favor. ; )

30 poems in 30 days. Do you dabble in word play as well? Let’s create 30 in 30.

Love and Ink,

Grace

Words, love them! Have some? Leave them.
