Motel Heart

It’s dirty pixels
& abstract planes
My eyes taste
The heart’s plea

The many strains
Of diseased want
& abandoned things
Moonlight breathes

It’s all Impressionism,
A wash of grains,
Discarded granules
And a room. No view. Just veins–

Poetry Month begins today and this is Day 1 of NaPoWriMo for me. 30 poems in 30 days. Do you dabble in word play as well? Let’s create 30 in 30.

Love and Ink,

Grace
